One of the most important parts of oil processing is packaging that protects the product from point of manufactures through usage by consumers. The sunflower oils are packed in PET bottles and metal cans. PET bottles clearly exhibited their superiority as packaging materials for sunflower oil as it helps in minimizing oxidations deterioration of sunflower oil. Thus the oils packed in containers like PET bottle with high oxygen barrier material would allow a retail shelf life of longer.
